We are The Self Fulfilling Prophecy Machine.
TSFPM exists in the space where intention turns into consequence. We’re interested in what happens when a thought is followed through instead of softened or explained away. Say something often enough, push it far enough, and eventually it stops being a theory and starts shaping reality. That feedback loop is our engine.
We make angular art-rock with sharp edges because smooth things already dominate the world. Smooth is safe. Smooth is forgettable. We prefer music that leans, snaps, and refuses to resolve neatly. Tension isn’t a flaw. It’s the point. Our songs are built, not polished. They carry friction by design.
We come from a lineage where art is inquiry rather than decoration. Punk taught us permissionlessness. New wave taught us that ideas matter. Art-rock taught us that form can be bent until it says something new. TSFPM sits at that intersection, with a sense of humour sharp enough to survive the subjects we poke at.
Lyrically, we’re drawn to systems more than slogans. Power, belief, conformity, delusion, resistance, and the strange theatre of modern life. Sometimes that comes out as satire, sometimes as unease. We don’t predict the future. We notice patterns and amplify them.
TSFPM is a collaboration built on trust and productive friction. Two minds pushing ideas until something sharper emerges. Discomfort is part of the process.
We don’t aim to soothe. We aim to wake things up and if it makes you lean in or feel slightly unsettled, it’s working.
The machine is already running.
